Vtec RPM window switch

Vtec RPM window switch

Just got this vtec window switch for my car..does anyone know how to hook them up..i have instructions saying that 2 of the wires go to pos and neg on the ignition coil...ive never heard the term ignition coil b4...what do i hook it to?? can i just hook it to the cars battery and run a switch?? help me out.

um... a vtec window switch? I hope if you mean anything you mean vtec controller. Be specific here about what you baught.

Like sauga4 the coil is in the distributor, I believe you need to convert your car to an external coil, msd sells conversion kits.

whaaaaat...i actually have to buy something else to make it work...screw that...cant i just run it to my batter and have it on a switch?????? if not i might just get the vtec computer

I don't see why you got this msd switch dealio. What it does is it activates a switch based on a certain rpm, hence why you need to hook it to your coil. If you were going to now activate your vtec solenoid this would not be the best idea. The reason i say this is because all your doing is allowing more air in and the computer has no way to compensate for if activated before normal vtec engagement. In a boosted application as you have this would be an even worse idea! Throw that thing out or sell it!

thanks man...know where i can get a cheap vtec ecu?????????


i got the rpm switch free so no big deal..i'll give it back to my buddy
