What are car emblems made out of?

specificlly the ones on Hondas, and how do I make it really shine?

its plastic wit a foil paint then the names are put on with a sprayer the sprays a rubbery aint on them to put the names on them

i think it's chrome... and you can make it shine by simply wiping it with a clean cloth...
