What year Honda Civic should I buy?
i have 3-4k and i would like to buy a honda civic but i dont know what year is best. im looking for one that runs well and looks cool. im going to be improving everything under the hood as well as the body over time and eventually i want a car i can be proud of but for now i just want something to work on that will get me to work and such...

EG shape (1992-1995) is my favourite. The EK (96-2000) shape is too high and thin if you ask me, but the EG is nice and chunky. You'll get a much better condition EG for that money than an EK.And you'll look cooler.

if i may suggest you have to buy a honda civic ferio 2000. because that car is the most perfect generation of civic and i think you will look cool if you use that car with or without any modification. why i suggest like that, because all of my car since i was born until now and since my parents bought their first car they choose honda civic and all of my car in my home is honda civic and all of them is still in original parts but its look cool

You didn't not spec what you looking at? The engine? OMV?the engine performance? weight balance?8th generation JDM Civic is the latest. 1800cc work fine but now adays most cars are fuel injected and they ECU are hard to tune...R-series (R-18) Four Cylinder inline * Honda's I-VTEC systerm * PGM - F1 * Displacement: 1799 cc * Bore x Stroke: 81 x 87.3 mm * Compression Ratio: 10.5:1 * Horsepower:138 @ 6300 rpm * Torque: 128 lbf·ft (174 N·m) @4300 rpm * No Distributor * Uses the same computer (ECU) controlled direct ignition as the Honda K-series engines*Fuel Consumption Urban 6.85 litre/100km (14.6 km/litre)2nd choice Sixth generation (EJ/EK/EM) Version Look for the D16 Series Engines (1.6 Liters) and not the B16 Series those are mainly Performance engine.the last owner should had re-modified the engine and remove the part before he sold it ,risk of a lot wear and tear.but if realli want to modified it EG-9 or EK-9 is a good choice.lot fun modified it.# 1992-1995 JDM Honda Civic SiR/SiRII (EG6/EG9) * Displacement: 1595 cm³ * Compression: 10.4:1 * Power: 168 hp @ 7800 rpm & 116 ft·lbf @ 7300 rpm * Transmission: S4CB16B 1997-2000 Civic Type-R[EK9] + Displacement: 1595 cm³ + Compression: 10.8:1 + Power: 185 hp (137 kW) @ 8200 rpm & 118 ft·lbf (160 N·m) @ 7500 rpm + Transmission: S4C With LSDIf u in Singapore dont buy 2nd had Seventh generation (EU/ES/EP/EM) Version!!! Those Days The COE Cost 28~32 K and (EG/EH/EJ) Version those Car renew there COE at 2002~ 2004 you will be buy the COE then the Car.http://advanxe.blogs.friendster.com/advanxe/If you in Singapore and looking for Honda Civic Type R. look me I had a few in the port.but I still prefer Accord Euro R_________________________________________________ ______________________
