white electrodes

Hey Ive got a 97 civic si. Stock D16y8 other then intake header highflow cat. When cold the car bogs on acceleration but once above say 3500 rpm it takes off. I recently change the spark plugs with the reccomended NGK ZFR5FGP plugs. I checked them today and the electrode is very clean but a chalky white. What would cause it to run lean like this and would it have anything to do with the bogging?

White/Greyish/Yellowish is normal
Chalky white, if you sure thats what it is means lean like you said.

Some people can get confused on how to actually read a spark plug. Some results are obvious while others can make you wonder. Check out Ngk's website and go to "technical information" then "how to read a spark plug". This way you can be sure.
