06 Honda Civic Squeaky Brakes, is the tech to blame?!?
My 06 Honda Civic was bought new and now has 26,000 miles on it and no issues thus far. It was due for an oil change so I took it to a local honda repair-shop. This shop is teamed with a dealership but the dealership moved to a new location. The oil was changed and also a recall was checked out. I leave and the entire way to work my brakes squeak and for the rest of the day. I bring it back, they offer to take it back and then bring me back to see. He says these are new kinds of brakes since asbestos was outlawed. It says there is rust and because the metal is rubbing together it is causing the squeal. I continued that it drives me crazy and I want it fixed. He says it happens all the time and there is no fix for it. Says they can resurface but not guarantee it won't happen the next day. Says brakes squeal on mercedes "all" the time. What's going on?! This can't be normal, it's brand new and no other civics are doing it. What should i do, I want them to know they're in the wrong.
