So just yesterday when I put my Civic in reverse it started making a squeaking sound in the front of the driver side. I really didn't think anything of it because it stopped after only a minute. Then today as I was leaving a store it did it again! It then stopped, but started up again as I was driving down the street, but stopped after 2 minutes. Does anyone know what this could be? I take great care of my car. I just got the oil changed and had everything checked and even replaced my filters. Any ideas?















Also, when I finally got to my house I popped the hood and it sounds as if the noise is coming from my engine. Please help!!

Sounds like a drive belt squeal. The noise may be a glazed drive belt or possibly one of the pulleys or the cooling fan/fans. Take a cup of water and carefully, while engine is running, pour a bit of the water onto the drive belt of your engine. The noise has to be duplicating during this easy diagnosis procedure. If the squeak stops for a bit, you need to have your belt replaced. If the noise continues, then one of the pulleys is the culprit. If this happened after your recent oil change, then I would say "they" poured something onto the drive belt (ie coolant or oil). Take it back and calmly but firmly ask for assistance.
