OK, I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I have a 07 civic 4 dr sedan, EX. When say I'm backing out of a parking spot and I don't stop all the way, I shift into drive. Then I hear a grinding sound. My brother n law has the same car and about the same milage, his doesn't do this. Has anyone else experienced this?

Honda automatic transmission is very similar to a manual transmission The only difference on The gear train is synchronize rings and clutch packs, the automatic transmissions uses the same clutch pack and gear for 4th gear and reverse the only difference is the reverse servo that pulls the reverse idle gear, if the transmission is still moving when you select reverse it is gonna grind.
