I recently bought a '99 civic ex coupe. There is an aftermarket vtec decal on either side, and the original window sticker says that it is a vtec, plus the vin's on the engine and car and window sticker all match. But many of my friends who are into cars have looked at my engine and say that it does not look like a vtec. They also said that usually VTEC is right on the engine head, and mine just says Honda. I am sure that the engine was never swapped. Did the 1999 civic ex coupe (automatic) come with a VTEC?
