Thats what it looks like

I'm posting this in the car section so hopfully I get guys options.

1st of all my fiance has one and needs some body work, starting to rust. Hes wanted to get this done for a while. We are getting married in June. I was thinking of having my cousin, an amazing body work repair guy, fix it up for either a wedding gift or his bday is in october. Would you guys like this idea or no? He really loves the car.

2. would this cost me over 2,000 for parts? i would say its minor rust, 5-10% rust? I know its hard to say but i'm more worried about if this would be a good idea to do.

Thanks

$2000 for parts on a 91 crx no way. Using the crash/autobody parts network your cousin should be able to find replacement fenders/ hood/ bumpers/ door skins/ quarter pannels/ etc; to replace any rusted area and then you have the cost of the paint and labor. If your uncle works on and paints the car as a gift I dont see more then $1000 for stock replacement parts.

I am talking stock replacement oem parts not carbon/fiberglass replacements that will cost more.

coming from a former crx owner... if he loves that car as much as I did mine(it met its death last year unfortunaely) I say DO IT! If he wrecks, you probably wont ever get your money back, but wouldn't it be worth it? I'm not a guy, but I love CRX's and I would love it if my husband found another one for me.
