Hi,































The Check Engine light went on, on my 2000 Honda Civic 1.6, I did not notice any working trouble, except a slight lack of power when I drive in extreme conditions in the mountains.















Did somebody experienced the same problem, and what could be the fault.

try running injector cleaner thru a full tank of gas.

Is a service due ?? These lights tend to show that something needs to be checked on the motor - It could also be showing that you are driving in 'extreme' conditions , such as you described

take it to a dealer and they'll check it out with their scantool and they'll be able to tell you straight up.















its probably a sensor occasionally dropping out of specs and logging a code in the ecm.















its probably best to check it out before it drops its bundle completely. maybe disconnect and reconnect the battery and see if the light comes back on- you could get lucky and find that it was just a one off thing.
