convertible civic?

im trying to make my 97 civic a convertible. not necissarily by choice, but i need to know is there anywhere that will custom make me a top or if not what is the best car to take one out of that would match closely to the body of a civic?

I do not think that this is possible because the shell would need a lot of reinforcing and a lot of bars added to make the car safe. If you want a convertible you would be better buying either:















Vauxhall VX220















Toyota MR2















Chrysler Sebring















or you could try















Honda CRX Del Sol

I just saw a 97(roughly) civic pickup in Lyndhurst, NJ. Looked like they did a decent job, although i only saw the inside... i have no idea how to contact this person, but i can tell you it looked cool! (kind of like an updated old school subaru brat)
