Have a 2003 Honda Civic 2-door with a radio problem?

Bought the car used with no manual. Radio wouldn't turn on this morning - got CODE or ERRor messages - what does this mean and is it something I can fix or is this a mechanic problem?

Hi ... turn on your ignition ... power off the radio ... press buttons "1" and "6" at the same time and hold them in while you power on the radio. You should get 2 sets of digits.

U**** and L**** this will be your serial number. Call a Honda Dealership (parts or service dept.) and give them this serial number and they should give you the pass code. They might require that you show ownership of the vehicle IE. title, registration, insurance ... some may not.

If your radio is showing error (I'm assuming that you started pushing buttons) you will have to disconnect your battery for a couple of minutes so that you can put the correct radio code in when the dealership gives it to you.
