Honda brakes?

I bought a honda civic EX as a work car. When I push on the brakes the car shakes. I replaced the brakes and it still does the same thing. Its worse on the freway, what with all the speed and all. Its kind of annoying and what to fix it fast.

simple brake change was done. Just brake pads

When you say you did the brakes did you also change the brake rotors? Did you change the rotors/drums on all 4 wheels?

What year is it? Did u resurface your rotor when you replaced your brake? If you replace pad and resurface your rotor at the same time, it should stop shaking. Also, u might want to check alignment and suspension parts.

lateral runout on front rotors more than likely.. a vigorous shake I would replace the rotors.. they are not that expensive..

It sounds to me like you had the pads replaced but that the rotors were not checked for warpage during the brake job. Vibration during braking is almost always caused by warpage of the rotor.

Have someone replace your rotors or at least check them for warpage and replace as necessary.

Happy Motoring!
