Honda Civic Reliability?

I'm thinking of buying a Honda Civic SI (2000 year) with 112,000miles on it. The catch is that it has a supercharger on it and I'm wondering if that will mess up the motor and make it less relible? It's selling for $7,000.00.

That mileage is really high on the car and will probably start to have failure if i has not already. test drive the car see how it drives. Also the car has probably been driven hard since it has a supercharger and will have more ware on the engine than it would under normal conditions. Honda make reliable cars but when you start to modify the engine you need to make sure you do it right if not you get problems. so take it to a mechanic and see what he says.. since the car may drive well when you test it but two weeks down the line engine may go out and no more car.

The mileage is really high, it should only have around 84k for a 2000 model. The price seems good but it becomes strictly a reliability issue. If someone installs a supercharger generally, it's not just to help while passing people on the highway. With that taken into consideration I would stay clear and pass on the car.

2 answers that said the same exact thing - TO MANY MILES - ?????Well a 7 year old car - HUH - averaging 16,000 miles per year - (actually less - it's almost 2008 - 14,000 per year.that is not a lot of miles for any car to travel in 1 year.My questions would be as follows for the current owner:When was the supercharger added? What else has been done to the car?is the engine built for the blower?what electronics have been upgraded - reprogrammed? Will the car pass emmissions testingcomputer diagnosis - will it pass no bad codes? What the car look like?body kit? - stock - exhaust - etc....
