Hey I'm 18 and I've had my liscence for about 6 months or so now.....I've been driving my parents' 2000 Toyota Corolla since i got my liscence and I will be getting a new one soon as a grad present from my parents. I was wondering which do you think would be a better car for my first? Honda Civic or a Toyota Yaris? I like the Yaris better, but i'm not really liking the speedometer being centred in the middle lool:S

civic and corolla are similar. yaris is a step down.

I really like the new Honda Civic Hybrids!!! They are really cute cars... I honestly like the Prius better than the Yaris...

you would feel more comfortable in a civic i think, nice car to drive and a bit more space for yourself and passengers. im 20 and drive a rover25 and its me first car, i was originally looking for a civic

definitely the honda civic because it has been in production a lot longer than the yaris - this means it will be easier to find someone to work on your car vs the yaris because mechanics will be more familiar with it - i used to work for honda and they hold their value very well, are cute and fun to drive, get great gas mileage, and i also believe there is more room in the civic - get a civic!!!

You're gonna be completely fine in either oneIf I had to choose tho, I'd probably go with the Yaris cause civic is pretty common around here

honda civic is better. parts and engine lasts long compared to toyota. honda civic are pretty when you upgrade it or just even customizing its side skirts, spoiler, and bumpers. its also better to drive than toyota, and faster...

I say go for Civic coupe..Its a better choice...awsome looksYaris is more like a level below Civic...If money is not a concern i say go for civic

i have a civic and a sedan yaris since the 2 door looks like an egg to me lol, i'd choose to keep my civic over the yaris, yaris is slow and small inside, 90-95 hp to the wheel!!! come on, and civic you can always do swaps with them =) and make them faster and nicer looking, there is barely any aftermarket production for the yaris, and they are slow on the highways. so i'd say stick to civics =) unless you want great gas mileage go for the yaris since it's 40mpg
