If you can afford it, you like driving, and you don't mind it being a bit more noisy - then it's the Type R all the way! That's the performance model.

Both good, basically the type R is very souped up, type S is still pretty quick.Type R does not have traction control, so you have to be careful otherwise you get crazy wheelspin.

Type R if you can stump up on the insurance!I drive the 1.8 es civic (new shape) and it is lovely, however as I live in Ireland the insurance would of killed me with the type R, even though I am 36!!!!!!!!!And colour choice would be the black with tan interior, or the electric blu or Red they do look smart!

jap scrap if you ask me loads more better cars out there than the over priced type r.. the new one looks crap in the civic to be honest i would buy a gt tdi 150 bhp golf and get it remapped and there wont be to much on the roads that will keep up with you and get it on coil overs and slammed to the deck if its not scrub'n its not dub'nalso try the new astra sri 150 bhp and get it remapped also it will out perform the mighty vxr any day of the week http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo987X-Au48
