Honda is a good car maker. If the car will be in good condition you will be able to drive for many years. Other cars, like Dodge are not like that.

I own two honda vehicles myself. They are very reliable and can stand up to alot of abuse. My 1990 Accord has a little over 155,000 miles on it and it is pretty well modified. So I pretty much drive the crap out of it. I also have a 1988 Honda crx hf. I have alot of work done to this car as far as bolt on performance goes. I still have the stock 1.5L engine in the car and it just seems to hold up to what ever I throw at it. It has well over 200,000 miles on it and does not show any signs of quitting any time soon.

Honda's are actually a very good reliable car. Their good on gas, and they look good. But for some thing that old I would definitely have it checked over by a good mechanic. I'm assuming it has high mileage because of its age. So its good to have it checked over to make sure nothings wrong with the engine or transmission before you buy. Also if you can, find out how well the previous owner's maintained it. You might want to have the transmission filter changed, And have it tuned up. Spark plugs, plug wire's, oil change. And a very good thing to do with a high mileage engine is to use an oil additive like Slick 50 it helps you get allot more miles out of an engine than just regular oil. Good Luck!
