nothin else is damaged? Timing belt broke on my 1993 honda del sol. Im assuming nothing else was damaged because it broke while sitting idle at a light. Does anyone know cars well enough or have had this happen to them to throw a # at me... and heck i'll sell it if anyones interested..lol

Bent valves happen even at idle, it doesn't take high rpms. Either check valve stem height or better yet do a cylinder leak test. If it was my car I'd pull the head and take a look at the pistons for sign of valve contact, any little nick in the piston and you need to take the valves out and spin them in a drill to check for wobble. Replace the bent ones.
