Ball Joints: Popping when turning/braking... car feels like its "rolling over" in corners. Movement in wheel/tire when pressing on the 12 and 6 oclock positions.

Wheel bearing: grinding noise when turning, louder as you go faster. Will be louder when turning in a direction that places more weight on the bad bearing. should make the sound when the car is jacked up.

The Drive Axle is the shaft from your front gearcase to your wheel. The Ball Joint is the part attached to the drive axle that looks like a hip. It is a ball in a socket that turns with your axle.

GEES guys if you can't give the guy an answer then don't post. 8 / .....

Your car is front wheel drive so the drive axle is the axle that drives the front wheels.. so you go... if you look under the front of the car you can see them going from the motor to the wheels.

The Ball joint is what hold the front wheels to the supension. there is an upper and a lower on both sides..

good luck
