im wanting to replace my stock flywheel?

i have 98 honda civic ex in the flywheel has gone bad but would it be a good idea to put in a light weight flywheel most of them are 8 pounds ? in wat diffrences would i be getting with a light flywheel?in how hard is it to install a short throw shifter

so is a lightflywheel a good idea for a daily driven car ?

light weight anything is good for your car this means there is less of a load on your engine which well in turn generate more horse power. you can pretty much modify your own shfter instead of buying one for hundreds of dollars. get a pipe cutter and cut your desired hight then remove your shifter and use your steady hand on a bench grinder to smooth out the top of your shifter (so your aftermarket shifter will mount on there, because you no longer have the threads to mount your stock back on.)
