What's a reasonable price to get a new a/c compressor installed in my 2000...

What's a reasonable price to get a new a/c compressor installed in my 2000...

...Honda Civic? My first quote was for $1300. In search of a better deal for me, my coworker said that he had a friend that would install a brand new, warrantied compressor for only $480. Although I'd certainly like to save over $800 I wonder if the deal is "too good". What's a normal price range to expect?















So is $480 suspiciously low then? Even if it is a "favor" to install it at a reduced labor rate?
