Why is Honda not selling City ZX Vtec model anymore?

Why is Honda not selling City ZX Vtec model anymore?
A dealer in Bangalore says that Honda has stopped producing City ZX "Vtec" model. The reason they give is that the sales are low and buyers prefer City ZX GXi or Civic but not the City Vtec. Any one knows more reasons?

The only reason I have heard is that the motor vtec was burning out, in some cases causeing fires, they fix the proublem but think it was to late, they took a big hit and know not makeing the cars.
