Will I get in trouble if I Modifiy a leased Honda Civic Si?

I want to do some simple mods to it, i.e. headlights, intake, take the pinstripes off the side, remove the door guards. So I guess a better way to ask the question would be, What can and what can I not do to a leased Honda?

on a side note, my boss has always removed the pinstripes and door guards from his leased vehicles and has never been penalized. I feel like it would be ok to modify it to a point where I could still revert it back to stock, no?

unless you plan on buying the car it's best left in stock form. your only "borrowing" the car. think of it as a rental

If your going to buy out the car at the end of your lease then you can go right ahead and modify your Honda if you plan on giving it back to the leasing company at the end of your leasing agreement you CANNOT modify it or else you will incur the charges of putting the car back to it's original state or the company will make you buy it out.

Your car says a lot about your personality.

If you drive a Honda than your one of those guys that likes to play it safe. If your lucky enough to be involved in a relationship with a woman, than she probably dominates the relationship. If you are homosexual than your the passive one.

You are a good follower so chances are you went to college and your parents paid for your education, or your in debt up to your eye ***** and the sad thing about it is that you still believe "the big lie" that has been spoon fed to you all your life about getting a good education, a good job, a 401k, a 30 year mortgage ( and than the sub-prime melt down has left you in negative equity situation and with bruised credit). Slowly as time goes by you are realizing that the "Blue Print" for your future is flawed and adjustments need to be made but you are not good at decision making because being a "play it safe type of guy" makes it almost impossible to render or execute a desicion.

There a few details I need not overlook here.

You said you have a lease with leads me to believe that you did many hours of research and determined that is the best way to go and I'm assuming that it was the low payment that attracted you to the lease. Meaning your frugal which is another way of saying your cheap.

Now you want to modify it. I guess you are trying to modify a car you do not own in order to make it look like an Austin Martin or something of that sort. Image appears to be important to you, you are trying to fake it until you make it. Let me break the news to you no matter what you do to it it is still a Honda.

May I suggest that you torch it, and get your self a real car a Charger with the Hemi.
