1991 Accord Fuel Pump
Any help on this is appreciated. Does anyone know if the fuel pump on a 91 Accord is, in fact, under the back seat? If so, how do you remove said back seat?
Thanks, Chris in OKC |

The main relay (which controls the fuel pump's actions) is under the dash, and it has problems with shaking / melting it's solder joints apart. Before you spend a lot of time tearing your car apart, try a 'google groups' search on 'honda main relay' and you'll find out if the symptoms are the same for you. 'Curly' =============== |

Re: 1991 Accord Fuel Pump
What's the problem? Curly identified a very common malady with c. 1990 Honda
fuel systems. Otherwise: http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/AccordManual/400/6-125.pdf shows the fuel pump location to be in the vicinity of the back seat for a fuel-injected 1991 Accord. http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/AccordManual/400/6-215.pdf has some instructions on replacing the fuel pump for a fuel-injected 1991 Accord. They're a bit vague. Here's the main site for the above: http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/AccordManual/index.html Public libraries often have Chilton Manuals for the last twenty years of Hondas with photos and instructions on repairs. Re: 1991 Accord Fuel Pump
I thought is was under the carpet in the trunk, just behind the rear seat.
There should be one or two round access holes to get to it.
