1992 Civic DX Reverse Lights

1992 Civic DX Reverse Lights
I have a manual transmission ’92 Civic DX Sedan. The reverse lights
come on and stay on when I start it up. But, here is the funny thing,
they go off when I shift into reverse.

Any ideas?
