2+ hours of flashers drain battery?

2+ hours of flashers drain battery?
I had to leave my car double-parked for over 2 hours at night so I had
the flashers on. I didn't think it drained that much current but I had
to jump it to get it started. Time for a new battery? (91 Accord).
It's probably been a few years so it's likely time anyway.

Over 2 hours of flashers is probably enough to run a good battery
down. I would just keep an eye on it for a while.

Over 2 hours of flashers is probably enough to run a good battery
down. I would just keep an eye on it for a while.

Where are you? A factory battery can go pretty fast after a couple of
southwest summers. Two hours of flasher use isn't really that much.
I've seen cars with their flashers on for over a day.

We've reached the point where they should use LEDs for the flashers.
Those would run a couple of *days* before killing the battery...

Might not be a bad idea to have the alternator checked, too. 2 hours
on flashers should not have drained the battery.

Might not be a bad idea to have the alternator checked, too. 2 hours
on flashers should not have drained the battery.

The NTB guy here told me that the high desert is the worst. 100
degree days, 40 degree nighs. In the same 24 hours.
We've been pretty lucky in Austin the last few days. We had the third
highest number of 100+ days for the summer this year (1980 was the
worst, with 91 of 93 days over 100). It only hit 90 today and ACL
Fest is looking at around 90 for Saturday and Sunday.
