2001 prelude
Hello everyone,
I am thinking about buying a 2001 Honda Prelude with 13,000 miles on it. Does anyone know if this model year has any known quirks or defects? Are parts easy to get for Preludes? Thank you, K Ramirez |
Re: 2001 prelude
I have a Black 2001 Prelude Type SH. Bought it new in Dec. 2000. I
have about 46,000 miles on it and the worst problem I have had was a flat tire. Nothing has gone wrong yet. Parts for it is still easy to get. Just call the dealership and you should have no trouble getting parts still. One drawback...the rumor that it rides rough on the interstate is true. Top speed is right at 143. My opinion, buy it. I am 21 and I love mine. |

If you were nabbed for speeding you could sign you life over to an insurance company if you haven't already. They hit you young dudes damn hard, I know. I have a niece that pays 4 grand a year to drive a beater due to and accicdent and multiple speeding violations.. the artful codger |

Only topped her out twice. I share your concern with the insurance thing
though. |

Re: 2001 prelude
hehe. not even 150? sheesh! my 2k daewoo lanos (modded of course) only puts
out 190hp, but i can zoom past 150 to about 165... only done that on a closed track (DONT STREET RACE.. ITS NOT WORTH LOOSING YOUR CAR AND LICENSE). in texas, if youre caught racing like that, they take you to jail, suspend your license, and tow your car, and lock you up for 6 months, no questions asked. if you must speed, go to a closed track. also consider modding that prelude. im considering dropping a 2k prelude motor in my daewoo :D -- Be sure to check out my site @ Http://www.the-c0re.tk. updated daily sometimes, new pix of the tanks and cats all the time. check it out!!! |
