2004 Accord EX seat comfort
Anyone out there, besides me, having complaints about the seat [back]
allegedly causing back pain? I can't tell where it's coming from: too much lumbar support even when set at 'minimum'...? Pain develops in the lower part of my middle back. I had no such trouble in 3 previous Civics. The seats on my 2002 EXL V6 are more comfortable than the ones in my 2003 EXL V6. At least, I find them to be more comfortable; my wife agrees, but my adult son prefers the 03. There is nothing you can do about this problem unless you install different seats or get some sort of after market product to place on your seats. A company called Sparco makes a racing seat that might solve your problem. I'm checking with my dealer as to whether or not an upholstery shop is "authorized" to get inside the existing seat considering there is an airbag in it. All they may need to do is remove some of the foam in the bottom half of the seat back so that it's not pushing against me to the extent it does.
