Thanks, Tom. I'll wait here in the meantime. I'm checking with my dealer as
to whether or not an upholstery shop is "authorized" to get inside the
existing seat considering there is an airbag in it. All they may need to do
is remove some of the foam in the bottom half of the seat back so that it's
not pushing against me to the extent it does.

I own an 03 Accord LX, and the seat is terrible. I had a '93 Nissan
Altima SE before and its seat was way more comfortable than the '03
Accord LX and '99 Accord EX (+leather) seat. I am above 6' and want to
sit in a relaxed posture . The accord seats lack lower back support.
It's very uncomfortable and definitely bad for your back. I tried some
aftermarket products, they didn't work. I even tried making my custom
pillow thing, couldn't do it right. Right now I'm using an ugly travel
pillow. If anybody know what to do, your help is GREATLY appreciated.

I own an 03 Accord LX, and the seat is terrible. I had a '93 Nissan
Altima SE before and its seat was way more comfortable than the '03
Accord LX and '99 Accord EX (+leather) seat. I am above 6' and want to

Some people over at Odyclub.com forum have modified the front seats of
the new Odyssey for the same reason. It involves cutting away some of
the foam below your belt-line. I expect it would work the same for the
Accord.

Some people over at Odyclub.com forum have modified the front seats of
the new Odyssey for the same reason. It involves cutting away some of
the foam below your belt-line. I expect it would work the same for the
Accord.

Thanks - that's exactly what I was thinking until the Honda service manager
said I can't cut into these seats due to the side airbag being inside it! I
wonder if those Odysseys have side airbags within *their* seatbacks. I'll go
check on that group.

I might have mentioned this earlier: in the Accord seats are side airbags.
There are sensors here and there in? and around it, too. Therefore, the
seats cannot be replaced. Interesting idea, though. :) Maybe I should have
bought a '64 Chevy Impala and been done with it. I'm sure for that I could
get any seat I want. Don't need no airbags in that thing....
