'91 Accord LX Auto Transmission problem?

'91 Accord LX Auto Transmission problem?
The trans works as it always has, but the shifting from park to drive,
reverse, etc is VERY hard to do. Seems to be a linkage problem. Hopeful
something external that needs lubed. Any ideas? She has 165k on her. I'll
live with it if it's going to be expensive. It's just a beater anyway.

Most probably the shift cable is worn out. I've never done one, but I'm
told it isn't that hard. bob
