Acura MDX & Hands Free Link
Hi,
Does any know how use the voice settings on the phone from the MDX
Hands Free control?
I have a Sony Ericsson T637. I've enabled the voice commands on the
phone. I've also set up the voice tags (the names of people recorded
in my voice used for voice recognition).
My problem is that I don't know how to access those voice tags from
the
MDX hands free link. It seems that they are two different voice
command systems. I was hoping to be able to say the names that are
already on my phone.
Other than that I am able to make calls by say, "Call", then the
number.
Thanks,
Jack

I use the T610 with my TL, but I bet they are about the same.
Voice Command on the phone handset does not "translate" to voice
command on your bluetooth HandsFree in your car. You can use
"Transfer" to move from one to the other if you enter or leave your
car, but that's not the same.
You click on your Phone on the steering wheel and say: "Phonebook" (or
"Phonebook Help"). It will come back and say: "Phonebook options are:
List, Enter, Call, Delete." Say "Enter" and follow the instructions.
It reads them back to you as it's done with each phone entry. The
Phonebook in the '04 TL has room for 50 entries. You have to speak
normally (both speed and loudness-wise), because pauses are
interpreted as information you don't want. Have to be distinct in what
you name your entries... or maybe it's my Hungarian accent, but Voice
Command has a helluva time distinguishing between "Day's Spa" and
"Glen's Car," for instance. So changing the latter to "Glen's
Cellular" flies.
Hopes this helps.
Best,
Andrew
