Toyota also makes a similar technology. I believe that it will work like this:

When starting out you'll open the throttle and the computer will engage the
clutch. If you open the throttle only a little, the computer will allow the
clutch to slip a bit. The computer won't let the clutch out fast enough to stall
the motor, just like a skilled rider. The driver shifts gears by moving the
floorshift to the "+" (upshift) or "-" (downshift) positions.

comparing of swapping the transmission and learning how to drive a stick
shift, then the 2nd task is easier. At least, you gained your knowledge of
driving a manual.

Swapping, techically, you can but in reality, it would cost you more than you
could expect. In short, it would be your headache (even worse, your nightmare)
, if you are not an experienced mechanic and do the swap by yourself.

If you still want to drive the automatic, then simply trade in to get the
right one that suits best to your needs.
If you want to learn how to drive a stick shift, then go for it.
If you want doing the swap, you can gain some knowldege during your swap too.
All depends on what your priority is.
