Defrost/fan question (Accord 93 LX)
Hi All,
I have a standard Accord 93 LX (Canadian version if it matters).
The defrost/internal fans do not throw air with any power (even at the
maximum settings). When I turn the fan to its maximum, I hear the fan
working at its full but the defrost/dashboard air outlets dont throw
air with enough power.
(So car takes a lot of time to defrost)
I have never done any kind of car repairs myself. But if you think I
can make some quick checks before taking it to a mechanic, please
guide me.
Thank you
P.S. I am afraid of going to some Honda authorized mechanic (they
charge $$$$$ here in Calgary, AB (Canada). So any good mechanic
recomendation would be great.
Thank you
Yassir

Re: Defrost/fan question (Accord 93 LX)
I have a '92 Accord that I bought new. The defrosters have never had
much "oomph". Part of me wants to take the dash apart and see if there
is anything I can fix or change. My old Pinto had better defrost. bob

Re: Defrost/fan question (Accord 93 LX)
Thanks Bob,
Do you think you will take the dash board apart sometime soon?
In my case, it seems fans are working at high speed but air gets lost
somewhere else.

Re: Defrost/fan question (Accord 93 LX)
The older I get, the less inclined I am to take the dash apart. I may
give this car to my son, and get something newer for myself. bob
