Re: Honda Accord Recall
Tom, I purchased a 2004 V6 Accord a week ago. I have experienced the same
thing going from first to second gear. Have you been able to get any resolution? Honda says that my car already has the fix on it. My car is in the shop now and I expect that they will say they can't reproduce it. Let me know if you have had any success getting it addressed. Thanks |

Re: Honda Accord Recall
Found something on another forum. It appears to be the ABS pump turning on
as you start off. It only happens when I start out in the morning. |

Re: Honda Accord Recall
Hi Tom,
I have the same noise that applies under the same conditions. I went to the dealer twice with no real answer. Several months later a friend of mine told me that his dealer identified the noise (and vibration) as being the ABS resetting themselves. I'm not convinced, but we both have the same car (bought months apart) and have the same quirky noise and feeling. Does anyone else experience this? |

Re: Honda Accord Recall
I just bought an Accord EX V6 2 weeks ago and I have the same situation.
I'm not sure what to do because the noise/vibe come and goes. It doesn't always happen, but it usually happens when you first start the car during the day. I'm about to take it to the dealer, but I'm expecting them to deny any problem. Did any of you get any response from Honda dealers? |

Re: Honda Accord Recall
I was in the dealer a week ago, I mentioned the problem and the service
rep, mentioned that they will look at it. I don't remember the exact word. They said something like... Others reported similar problem. I did not like the wait time so I left. I will have them look at it on the next visit. another 1K miles. BTW, it does not happen all the time. I think it has to be a "cold" start. When it is hot outside, I don't feel the vibration on "cold" start. Tom |
