That does make a large difference. There's talk down here from the insurance
companies, that they 'might' start refusing to insure vehicles older than
ten years. That will put a serious dent in the pocket book of people that
are driving vehicles older than a decade.

Insurance for a 2003 Accord LX V6 in Nelson BC (interior of BC) is $1374
with replacement cost, $5mil liability, $300 deductable on colision and
comp.

Sounds like the insurance companies are in cohoots with the car companies.
I can see refusing to cover vehicles that aren't road worthy, but to just
have a blanket policy of 10 years sucks. I recently sold a '86 Prelude with
350k Km, (still going through withdrawls, but the new owner said I can
visit) it was in better shape that cars that are under 10 years old.

my $1800 Comprehensive insurance for my 98 Accord Lx includes $2Mil
Liability and $300 deductible. No loss of use nor replacement. ICBC
sucks!!!!
