I missed the part where he said that the warning light was actually on.
Maybe he wants this information for future reference when the situation
actually occurs.

I know it made me a little nervous until I filled up the first time it
happened to me. My previous honda ran out of gas just before the light came
on. Maybe now that I'm an expert I can answer posts with a smart-ass
attitude.

Umm, is your gas light the kind that kind of fades on and off? Coz the
light on my civic kind of does that - you know sometimes on and
sometimes off. At that point, I have about 3 gallons or so. It starts
staying on all the time when I am down to about 2.

So with a 13 gallon tank, when my gauge read "Full", I actually have 17
gallons?
