Re: "Maintenance Required" light
I had the same issue when I owned a 2001 Civic and I found the answer within
a minute in the owner's manual. |

You could check your manual and see what's supposed to be done at that interval. On my 2003 Civic Hybrid, the oil changes are scheduled for 10,0000 miles. My light started blinking for 6 seconds at 8000 miles, and at 10,000 miles it came on solid. I had the dealer change the oil... that's pretty much all they did, even though there was a very long checklist which did not include vacuuming the car ;-) I don't think they changed the filter. Looking at my schedule, that's set for 20,000 miles. -- --- Clarence A Dold - Hidden Valley (Lake County) CA USA 38.8-122.5 |

Re: "Maintenance Required" light
Surely your manual shows you how to reset that light. I have a 2000 Odyssey and my manual does. Usually it involves holding in on the odometer reset button while you start the engine. Or something like that. My wife has the van with the manual.
