price of replacment keys?
Just bought a '02 accord ex and was only given one "everything"key and one
keyless remote transmitter.Didn't get a valet key either. I am curious the price of a new key(everything key..I can do without a valet key) and transmitter. The key I hear has that disbaler chip in it,so I assume it got to be 50 bucks or so. tia! slider |

I've been dealing with Colonial Honda since 1979. You'll find their prices to be better than Portland Street Honda. Re: price of replacment keys?
The key shouldn't be that expensive, as transponders go. About $25-30.
The transmitters are usually on ebay, you should get a good deal. slider wrote: > Just bought a '02 accord ex and was only given one "everything"key and one > keyless remote transmitter.Didn't get a valet key either. > I am curious the price of a new key(everything key..I can do without a valet > key) and transmitter. The key I hear has that disbaler chip in it,so I assume > it got to be 50 bucks or so. > > tia! > > slider > > |
Re: price of replacment keys?
A key will likely run you around $50 cut and programmed for your car.
They actually have to hook up a computer to the car to program the key so it's about half to an hour worth of labour. The transmitter I would recommend looking on eBay (I've purchased several this way and they are likely to run you around $10/each). Just make sure that the "FCC ID" number on the back of your existing remote exactly matches the one that you purchase. It's a five minute job. Norm |
