price of replacment keys?
Just bought a '02 accord ex and was only given one "everything"key and one
keyless remote transmitter.Didn't get a valet key either.
I am curious the price of a new key(everything key..I can do without a valet
key) and transmitter. The key I hear has that disbaler chip in it,so I assume
it got to be 50 bucks or so.

I've been dealing with Colonial Honda since 1979. You'll find their prices
to be better than Portland Street Honda. Go see Rick in Parts at Colonial.

The key shouldn't be that expensive, as transponders go. About $25-30.
The transmitters are usually on ebay, you should get a good deal.

Re: price of replacment keys?
A key will likely run you around $50 cut and programmed for your car.
They actually have to hook up a computer to the car to program the key
so it's about half to an hour worth of labour.
The transmitter I would recommend looking on eBay (I've purchased
several this way and they are likely to run you around $10/each). Just
make sure that the "FCC ID" number on the back of your existing remote
exactly matches the one that you purchase.

For the '02 Accord, the key can be duplicated in the shop, without the
car. It's a five minute
job.
