Problem with air vent noise
I own a 1999 Honda Accord EX (4 doors--4 cyld). The air vent on the driver's side makes a squekking sound when the car is moving. When I press on it, it stops making the squekking sound. I asked the service manager if it could be fixed so it would not make the squekking sound and he said that it was a problem that I could not be fixed and I would just have to deal with it unless I wanted to buy a new car. How hard is it to replace the vent and if I replaced the vent--would it make the same squeeking sound? It's the vent that can be adjusted--not the one on top of the dash board. Thanks in advance. -- NEWSGROUP SUBSCRIBERS MOTTO We respect those subscribers that ask for advice or provide advice. We do NOT respect the subscribers that enjoy criticizing people. |

Works OK wherever plastic parts rub on something else, or each other. 'Curly' |
