Re: Program Keyless Remote for 98 Accord LX
I just did the remotes on my '98 Odyssey. If you have the simple
two-button remote, it probably uses a different procedure from ck's
2000. Basically:
1. Open driver's door.
2. Hold driver's door control in unlock position until the following
steps are completed. (A helper makes this easier.)
3. Insert/remove ignition key five times
4. Insert ignition key (door locks should cycle.)
(Steps 3 and 4 must be completed within 10 seconds.)
5. Press lock or unlock button on remote (door locks should cycle.)
6. Repeat step 5 with an additional remote (if you have one.) This
must be done within 10 seconds of step 5.
7. Release driver's door unlock control.
8. Test the remotes.
Note: A maximum of two remotes can be programmed and they must both
be programmed at the same time. You may want to install new batteries
in the remotes before programming.
