Re: 97 Honda Civic Audio Problem
I have a 97 Honda Civic EX. Need help or advice from others, thanks. When I was installing a new CD player to the car, I carelessly let the red wire touch the car body, and there were spark out. After that I do all other wiring, and try to start the audio, but the CD player doesn't work at all. I found that if I put a CD in, it will receive it and I can Eject it by pressing the eject button, but cannot turn on the main power. I then check the fuses and cannot found any broken one. Do any one have any idea what's happening? or have any suggestion? Thanks. -- williamcsk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via RealCarAudio.com - The checkmate of the caraudio community. http://www.RealCarAudio.com williamcsk's Profile: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/m...fo&userid=2546 View this thread: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/s...threadid=12660 |

Typically car stereos get battery voltage through two wires, one "always
on" from the battery and one switched through the ignition. On my Civic (94) the always on wire for the factory stereo is fused in williamcsk wrote: > > I have a 97 Honda Civic EX. Typically car stereos get battery voltage through two wires, one "always
on" from the battery and one switched through the ignition. On my Civic (94) the "always on" wire for the factory stereo is fused in the under-hood fusebox, not the under-dash fusebox. Did you check the fuses in the under-hood fusebox? |

Re: 97 Honda Civic Audio Problem
Thanks for all opinion. I did check the underhood fuse and also the fuse box inside the car near the drivers side, no broken one can be found. So, I have no clues for what's going wrong. Really thanks for all of your help. -- williamcsk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via RealCarAudio.com - The checkmate of the caraudio community. http://www.RealCarAudio.com williamcsk's Profile: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/m...fo&userid=2546 View this thread: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/s...threadid=12660 |
