Re: Easy Ways to improve feul economy for 92 Accord?
Driving at prudent speeds is defintely a way to keep the mpg's higher. When was the last tuneup? The car was built in 1992....it's no spring chicken. Regular oil changes are a must but how are the plugs, wires and cap an rotor(if it has one). The fuel filter ('s) PCV Valve are other choices. All that could be replaces for less than $100. The OX sensor can be a big one too if it's not controling your fuel appropriately. A good air cleaner is an easy one too. If you want to spend the money K&N makes awesome filters, they can cost up to 4 times as much as a typical air filter but they can easily grab you 2 or 3 mpg alone....i've seen more. If it has a carb it could use a little adjustment as well. Hope it works out...Mat
