You should adjust the timing--you need a timing light for this.
You may also need a new distributer cap.
Leaking spark plug wires can cause this problem. Make sure you don't
see sparks when you look watch the wires while the vehicle is on idle.
Did this problem also occur before the tune up? If it started only after
the tune up--it is probably related to a mistake you made during the
tune-up.
