I have 91 Accord Ex and I am the sixth owner. I was first very hesitant to
buy it but I got this one for $2500 with a clean title and mileage of 132K
and most of my friends said to go for it looking at my budget.
I have done just regular maintenance on it like oil change. Other
investments include tire change( appx $240 for 4), Engine Mount Changed
($140) got whole car repainted ($222 - cause had to change hood due to lots
of scratches) otherwise the car's original paint was just too good.
Now at 152K , I have to get the timing belt /water pump changed as a part of
the Service.
I hear rattling noises in the rear of car (dont know why - something to do
with springs in the rear wheel ? -- need some feedback from the group).
A/C has some problem as it does not cool for long. Front speakers work
sometimes and sometimes they dont.
Other then that this car is really good and has never stopped or given any
problem except once I had to change the main relay( which I guess is a very
known problem in 91- 93 Hondas).
I would say Honda engines are the best when considering their life, if they
are maintained properly.
