Z1 is the correct Honda ATF. Who knows what your "regular service
center" used. Unless they were a Honda specialist, they probably put in
the wrong stuff!

Honda trannies do this. Probably a lot. Mine have. And being a lazy
bugger I've had all my maintenance on-scheduled at the dealer. You
think that's bad, try accellerating at maximum pace with one of these
sticky trans, definitely bad news.

In any case, even if your service center has been using the proper Z1,
an extra drain-and-fill or two will likely make things better, for
about 5k miles, before it slowly slides back to misbehavior.

1) Since it sounds like your tranny is presently CONTAMINATED with
Non-Honda fluid, you need to be more thorough about getting ALL the
other stuff out. I would normally only do it twice.

because it's more thorough. only about 40% of the fluid changes each time.
