2003 Tiburon Clutch Issues
I am looking into buying a 2003 V6 Tiburon and from everything i have been
reading it sounds like a great car for the money. However, I recently
started coming across many dissatisfied owners complaining that their
clutches were going bad (with minimal to no abuse) and Hyundai was refusing
to pay/repair them as "wearable items." Regardless of the fact that clutches
do in fact wear out, they should not be going bad within one year of
purchase on a new car. Some have speculated that this is because the v4
clutch was put into the v6 - I have no idea if this statement bears any
credibility. If there are any owners out there have had any experience with
this car and / or this problem who can shed some light i would be very
appreciative. I really like the looks, price, performance of this car but
do not want to get myself into a car with built in problems and a company
that i can not count on to correct them.
