I paid $13,725 out the door for a 5 speed with a sunroof, mudflaps and a
cargo tray (I didn't want ABS/TC). That was with a $2000 rebate. If I
had pushed harder, I might have been able to get them down another $200
or so.

I paid $13,100 out the door. That included a Hyundai loyalty rebate
offered at the time. That price includes NYS sales tax and any
applicable fees. This is from the largest dealer in the US, so I
believe they receive special pricing from Hyundai. Anything under $15k
out the door is a steal in my opinion.

Oops. Should have mentioned in my last post that I did not get ABS or
sunroof. So figure $17k out the door (similar to what Deedle wrote).

The sunroof is $700, so we paid about the same price for the basic car.

So figure $17k out the door (similar to what Deedle wrote).

17K? For what? I don't think you could option an Elantra up that high,
after rebates. Even $16K seems unlikely.

Do you think $15000 out the door for a hatchback with moonroof and ABS is
realistic? (this would include the 1500.00 rebate, but not the owner
loyalty)

I would think you could get it a bit cheaper, probably $14,500 - $14,750.
