clutch question
1998 Elantra 150,000km
I'm sure this applies to any car with a clutch. Never had one before so
don't know much about it.
When you first drive, clutch is smooth as anything. But after shifting a lot
(city driving), the clutch pedal "sounds" spongy and it feels it a little
bit, but sounds more.
That's the best way to describe it. Does this mean anything? How do you
know when you need a new one?
Original clutch. Tks,

Re: clutch question
Thanks,
not really, when you first start up, clutch very clean, very smooth, no
noise at all.
but city driving makes the pedal itself make a noise. The noise is inside
the car. No problem shifting.
Sound.....opening an door that needs oiling? creaking?
everything else seems normal.

looks like you just answered your own question.
Try lubing the pivot of the clutch pedal.
