Elantra 2002 Temp
My 2002 Elantra temp guage moved from about 1/3 to just under a half. The
dealer said it was nothing, but I forced a checkout. After checking it out
they said the thermostat was bad, and replaced it. The temp guage is still
in the same place. Does this sound like a problem? Is there a way I can test
the true temp, and what should it be if so.
Thanks in advance..

Re: Elantra 2002 Temp
maybe replace the temp sensor? That might work.

Re: Elantra 2002 Temp
I have three Elantra's now, 1997, 2002 and 2003. They all run just
below the 1/2 mark on the temperature gauge. If yours was lower than
that, maybe the thermostat was stuck open to begin with? Just a
thought.

My Elantra has temperature sitting just under a half from the day one. 1/3
of the gauge seems kind'a low...
